New Prohibition Bar and Restaurant To Open in Downtown Bozeman
We are interested to see what changes and new additions this bar has made to this existing space.
Change is a constant when it comes to Downtown Bozeman. This was even more evident in early 2023, with several bars and restaurants closing abruptly. It was odd after a successful 2022 season with tourists spending their money in Bozeman.
The Okay, Cool Restaurant Group was one business that sold off multiple bars and restaurants en masse, and we were all surprised. Places like El Camino, Kitty, Warren in Bozeman, and Tips Up and Copper in Big Sky.
One bar that the Okay, Cool Restaurant Group owned with a fun concept but couldn't get any traction was the Korean karaoke bar Happy Box. The bar had fun Korean street food, delicious beverages, and two karaoke bar booths you could reserve. It was a surprise to us when it silently closed and was sold.
We now have news of what will be replacing the space.
1864 will be the new bar of downtown Bozeman, and the description of what it will be like is unique. 1864 will be a Noir Bar with dinner and late-night bites. They have completely remodeled the space, and we want to see what they've done to reshape the bar.

Even though we are sad that Happy Box is closed, we are excited with anticipation to see what 1864 will be like when it fully opens in Bozeman. It will be a nice change of pace from the other bars geared toward younger crowds in downtown Bozeman.
Hopefully, they don't charge $10 for a pint of beer. Then we might have a few issues.
