Firth's wife is Italian, and he's said he learned the language to charm her when they were dating.

When the basketball star was a child, his father — a hoops player himself — moved the family to Italy, where Kobe picked up both the native language and Spanish.

The longtime Van Halen frontman's grandparents were multi-lingual, so he may have picked up Spanish from them. Regardless, he's recorded 11 percent of his music in the language.
Johnny Depp

Back in 2000, Depp said he spoke French but not fluently — however, thanks to many years of living in France (and longtime French girlfriend, Vanessa Paradis) have certainly sharpened his skills.

The 'Napoleon Dynamite' and 'Blades of Glory' star is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and learned to speak Japanese for an LDS mission in Japan.
