Why Is Bozeman Housing Expensive?

Now I know why it was so hard to find housing and why it's so expensive in Bozeman.

Due to the college student rise according to the Bozeman Daily Chronicle (almost 3,000 student rise since 2009) trying to find a decent place to rent in Bozeman is pretty difficult.

It took me three months to find a place here to rent finally. Maybe I should have looked outside the city limits.  According to the article, it's a lot cheaper to live outside of Bozeman.

I know quite a few people who commute from Belgrade or Four Corners into Bozeman just because the price of rent is significantly cheaper than living in Bozeman. There is good news on the horizon though. MSU is building a new 400-bedroom dorm and another 500-bedroom Stadium View project, which will ease the renting here in Bozeman for people moving into town.
