The first half of 2017 has been full of concerts at the Brick Breeden Fieldhouse; the second half not so much.

I was sitting here wondering: Why there haven't been really any concerts announced for the Brick Breeden Fieldhouse in the past couple months? I know Florida Georgia Line and Bonnie Raitt are coming, but both of those shows are in September and then there is nothing. I mean, in the first six months of 2017 we had some huge shows like Twenty One Pilots, Eric Church, Tim McGraw and others, but now it seems like there isn't really anything coming to Bozeman anytime soon. What are the reasons? Well, I might have some answers for you.

1. They are choosing to go to Billings/Missoula.

Billings has the Metra which is a sizable venue. Plus, they have the Montana Fair which is hosting multiple artists like Paramore and Pat Benatar so we will get passed over on that. Missoula has not one, but two, outdoor venues that are especially fun during the summer. They have so many different variety bands going there that also stopping in Bozeman is an easy pass.

2. Bands schedules can be tough.

During the summer there is festival after festival all over the nation so bigger acts will definitely go to those events because of a larger audience that will see them. Plus, when they announce big tours sometimes they will skip over Montana to go to Idaho or Colorado. It's just the way it is. Also right now there hasn't been very many tours announced for the fall/winter other than The Weeknd and Shawn Mendes.

3. It's still early and I might be paranoid.

Listen, I might be just be going crazy because it seemed last year we were announcing show after show and I was excited. We can still get concerts coming for the winter and 2018 that can be amazing. Anything can happen but I think I am getting restless.

Hopefully in the next few months we will have some amazing shows on the way to get excited about.
