It's been a serious bummer.

I am a big fan of going to the movies, especially in the summer. Summer movies are supposed to be hilarious fun, big action and the biggest films of the year. 2016, though, has been a huge letdown. Other than Finding Nemo, Captain America:Civil War and The Jungle Book, the summer has been just plain sad.

Alice Through the Looking Glass, Independence Day:Resurgence, X-Men:Apocalypse, and Warcraft have been huge, huge letdowns. If you don't make a quality movie no one wants to go see it. This weekend doesn't look any better, but later this July there are some big films such as The Secret Life of Pets, Ghostbusters, Star Trek Beyond and Suicide Squad that could rejuvenate the excitement. I usually go to a movie every week or every two weeks, but I seem to think to myself every week, "I don't want to see anything, they all look terrible."

Last year it was hit after hit and next year looks great too, but it's simply amazing that this summer has been a huge let down.
