So this happened.

Sony Pictures has decided to pull the film "The Interview" from theaters and are delaying the release of the film due to not only the cyber hack that happened on their computer servers but also because of the threats they have made. These terrorists are saying that if any theater shows this "propaganda" then they need to remember September 11th.  This threat has caused the top five movie chains to pull the movie from showing next week on Christmas Day.

This is depressing. Not only was I excited about this film, not because it's real in any way, but because it looks hilarious. I just can't believe we gave into these demands because of fear.

This whole situation reminds me of when South Park was celebrating its 200th episode and talked about how you can't show the prophet Mohammed on TV without being threatened.  This episode caused huge controversy and the creators of the show were threatened with their lives from extremist groups.  Comedy Central was scared and decided not to even show the episode which doesn't show Mohammed and has one of the characters talk about giving in to threats from people trying to create fear.  I respect that and I hope to see "The Interview" soon.
