It costs how much?

According to Unofficial Networks, there will be a fundraiser up at Big Sky Resort for Republicans and it will include Montana Senator Steve Daines and Senators Lisa Murkowski (Alaska) and John Hoeven (North Dakota). That's not all though, former presidential candidate Marco Rubio will also be there for the fundraiser. How much does it cost? Only $1,500.

Are you serious? That is ridiculous. Listen, I understand these people have to raise money so they can keep being senators, but seriously? That is the bare minimum they are accepting.

Daines has been under fire lately because he won't host a town hall to listen to some concerns his constituents have. In the past few weeks, people have rallied at his local Bozeman office and and Missing posters have turned up at places, including local coffee shops, like the Daily Coffee Bar on Rouse Avenue, declaring Daines "missing." A billboard has apparently even popped up in Great Falls that says Montanans want to talk to him about clean air, clean water and acting on climate change, according to the Montana News Round Up Facebook page.

I know there will be some very wealthy people able to afford this, but the people who work hard every day in Bozeman or in Montana would be hard pressed to find an extra $1,500 to talk to Daines about issues. It's especially weird since he doesn't have to run for office for three more years in 2020.
