Last week, a small 2.9 magnitude earthquake was reported approximately 16 miles west of Bozeman in Manhattan, MT.

On Tuesday morning, two additional earthquakes were reported near Manhattan. The first quake was reported at 6:50 a.m. and had a magnitude of 2.5

The second quake was slightly stronger and was reported at 11:46 a.m. and measured a magnitude of 3.3. Both earthquakes were slightly over 2 miles underground.

Montana has experienced its share of seismic activity so far in 2018 as 63 earthquakes measuring 2.5 or higher on the Richter scale have rattled the state.
