If it feels like Taylor Swift has lived a thousand lives since the 2006 release of her first single "Tim McGraw," that's because she has. She slowly morphed from country's golden girl to bonafide pop star over the course of the past ten years, and if you somehow need more proof of that evolution, look no further than the latest issue of Vogue -- where a bleach blonde Swift sits comfortably on its cover -- and its accompanying video interview.

From the inane ("I can't do a cartwheel or a handstand") to the vaguely illuminating ("My boyfriend planted an olive tree in my yard for Christmas") to the legitimately interesting (Red standout "All Too Well" was the most difficult song for Swift to write "because it's a real emotional song. I kept putting it down for months on end"), the interview really runs the gamut of possible new intel to gather from the over-exposed Swift.

And while it's all clearly scripted and choreographed in a way that (likely unintentionally) paints Swift with the kind of awkward personality she always claimed to have in her adolescence, she does give budding artists some legitimate, solid pointers along the way.

When asked what advice she'd give to anyone who wants to be a singer, she delivers the most believable line we've heard from Swift in quite some time:

Finally, a real-life example of practicing what you preach! No one in the current pop sphere is as good at protecting their image and brand as Swift is. Remember the time her team sent out cease and desist letters to Etsy stores who were profiting off her likeness? Or the time her lawyers did the same to a podcast that read some of her lyrics aloud? What about that whole trademarking kerfuffle? Lawyer up, everybody!
