The original Xbox was released in 2001. Didn't we all think it was a silly name? And didn't we all doubt this 'computer' that Bill Gates' Microsoft was creating? There was no doubt in most gamers' minds that it would fail in the console war against Sony, Nintendo and Sega. Good thing Master Chief was there to save the day. Opinion: Why I Will Never Buy Downloadable Games From Microsoft Again

If rumors and speculation are to be believed, the next Xbox and the PlayStation 4 will not be backwards compatible with downloadable games. That means any games bought on the Xbox 360 (XBLA or Games on Demand), will be stuck on our old consoles gathering dust. If that’s the case, then I will never buy a downloadable game from Microsoft ever again (and most likely Sony, too). In my eyes, these companies are violating an unwritten agreement with consumers that the games we buy should still work years into the future.

Portal 2 Exclusive Content

When the Orange Box was released for the Xbox 360 and and PS3 I was stoked because I assumed that all the console gamers would fall in love with Valve as each PC gamer already had. The poor execution and exclusion of content made the whole experience lacking. Now, with Portal 2, Valve is giving the PS3 some pretty amazing features.
