Gallatin County will get up to 5" of snow and very gusty winds through Monday night until about 9am Tuesday morning. Even small amounts of snow combined with wind will create poor visibility.
Bridger Bowl could definitely use a good dose of fresh powder, so let's keep our fingers crossed that this storm helps to improve conditions up in the mountains.
High elevations and mountain passes could see over 6 inches of fresh snow with a Winter Weather Advisory in effect. The valleys will see significant rain showers and much cooler temperatures.
Another layer of snow, along with gusty winds, are headed to southwest Montana with several inches of snow possible in the valleys and up to 10" possible in the mountains.
A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for the Beartooth Highway with the highest elevations expecting very gusty winds and easily half a foot of snow through Saturday morning.
