May 24, 2012 Some of my favorite music videos are the little mini movies. And that's exactly what Maroon 5's 'Payphone' music video is. The song doesn't have much to do with the cinematic experience created by the director but it holds your attention the entire time. It also leads me to wonder if it's Maroon 5 front man, Adam Levine's call for a roll in a Hollywood blockbuster. The Grammy Awards are known for pulling off some unexpected collaborations, and they might have just topped themselves with this one. The Recording Academy announced today that Maroon 5 and Foster the People are teaming up for a performance at this Sunday’s ceremony with the legendary Beach Boys, who haven’t taken the stage together in more than 20 years.
Before they were judges on NBC’s hit singing competition series ‘The Voice,’ Adam Levine and Christina Aguilera were chart-topping singers — and they teamed up to return to their roots Tuesday night, with a performance of their collaborative new single, ‘Moves Like Jagger.’
Maroon 5 took the stage first, with Levine fronting the band for the first half of the uptempo song, before Aguilera — wearing a low-cut T-shirt emblazoned with ‘BOYS’ and sporting pink streaks in her hair — strutted on to join them for the big finish.
