One of the most popular choices for the role of grown-up Beverly Marsh, played in the first film by the scene-stealing Sophia Lillis, was Jessica Chastain — a sensible pick, considering that Chastain previously starred in director Andres Muschietti’s feature debut, Mama. As for Chastain herself, she’s totally down to take on that evil clown.
Yep, it’s official. Jessica Chastain will oppose the X-Men in Dark Phoenix, which is currently in production in Montreal. The actress shared two Instagrams of herself and James McAvoy, a.k.a. She won’t say who she’s playing in Dark Phoenix, but we might know already.
You’d think that Jake Gyllenhaal would be scared off of video game adaptations for good after the disaster that was Prince of Persia, but the actor is giving it another go with a new film based on Tom Clancy’s The Division. He may have a little help from another acclaimed actor, as Jessica Chastain is reportedly in talks to join the upcoming project, which Gyllenhaal is also producing.
