When R. Kelly wrote ‘I Look to You’ for Whitney Houston 10 years ago, he never thought that he’d be singing it at the legend’s funeral. Kelly choked back tears during his rousing performance of the song at Houston’s memorial yesterday (Feb. 18), giving a new meaning to the track he penned.
Alicia Keys paid a moving tribute to Whitney Houston at the late singer’s funeral yesterday (Feb. 18). Prior to her musical performance, Keys, visibly devastated by the loss Houston, offered some endearing anecdotes about her experiences with Houston during her tragically short life.
“The song ‘I Will Always Love You’ wasn’t supposed to be in the movie,” Kevin Costner revealed in a moving speech for his costar in ‘The Bodyguard,’ Whitney Houston at her funeral. “The first choice was going to be ‘What Becomes of a Broken Heart?’” he said. “So what becomes of our broken hearts?”
U.S. Army Captain Jeremiah Sipes of Belgrade was killed at Fort Bragg on January 1, 2011. Reports are that the shot was fired by a hunter. His remains arrived in Bozeman Saturday afternoon. The funeral and procession are scheduled for today.
