Back in August of 1959, an earthquake would cause a major landslide that would take the lives of dozens of people and forever chance the Montana landscape.
It was 5:44am on Tuesday morning when the magnitude 4.1 quake shook an area about 50 miles outside of Billings, MT. The quake struck just east of the Bull Mountains.
Yup, you probably felt the rolling shortly before 6pm on Tuesday night. A 6.5 earthquake shook through Idaho and was felt in many areas of southwest Montana.
