Honestly, it was good.

With the huge influx of mediocre reviews, I got a little worried about Suicide Squad. I have been excited for this movie for quite a while and was hesitant going into it last night. Then again, I told myself that I just need to go in with a blank slate and let the movie speak for itself. I am not going to lie, I had a lot of fun.

The movie is basically about how the government decides to put together a team of super villains to complete missions that seem hopeless. They are called Task Force X, but they are pretty much a Suicide Squad due to they aren't expected to survive the mission. The film stars Will Smith as Deadshot, a hitman who doesn't miss; Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, psychotic girlfriend of the Joker; Jared Leto as the Joker, and Viola Davis as Amanda Waller, the government agent who puts together the team.

You might ask why would these villains do this. Well, it's because they will get time off their prison sentences among other things. Cara Delevingne, Joel Kinnaman, Jay Hernandez and Jai Courtney all have supporting roles. I especially love Jai Courntey as  Captain Boomerang; he steals a couple scenes.

The highlights of the film are definitely Will Smith and Margot Robbie. They make you believe that you want to root for these bad guys to succeed with their mission. Visually it's really upbeat and I absolutely everyone who are in the Suicide Squad.

The lowlights, there are some problems with the narrative but it's not that crucial. Also, the music at some points was a little overbearing. Finally, the villain was pretty damn weak. It could've been really cool and I honestly think that Cara Delevingne was miscast, she is a great actress but this was a really hard part for her to play. I like her a lot but I just didn't believe her.

Overall, if you are a fan of superhero films I believe you will have yourself a good time and enjoy the movie. I had a great time and only time will tell if it's successful enough to get a sequel, which I would love to see.

Review: 4/5 bullets. Come for the crazy.
