More and more TV shows each year make it impossible to keep up with everything, even as choice Sunday real estate goes to conversation-starters like Game of Thrones and The Walking Dead. Well, get ready to not talk about the big Starz shows on Monday, now that the cable outlet will switch to Sunday premieres, from its usual Saturday.

Per The Hollywood Reporter, July 17 will see Starz making the transition by debuting the Season 3 premiere of Power on Sunday, with other shows like Outlander, Bryan Fuller’s American Gods or Ash Vs. Evil Dead to inevitably follow suit.

Network CEO Chris Albrecht tells THR that the Sunday switch will afford better opportunities for conversation, both between viewers next-day and online coverage from journalists, saying:

We see opportunity. Saturdays have worked so well that we feel our shows are going to be able to stand up on the most watched night of the week. Sundays are a prestige night and we feel our shows are definitely going to be very competitive, not just in viewership but in the attention-getting business on Sundays. So it made sense to move.

At the very least, July 17 will take Starz out of the way of Game of Thrones, still competing with Showtime over the summer, and inevitably The Walking Dead this fall. Certainly Saturdays mark a tricky spot all their own, but is Starz better served moving to Sundays?
