Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul Reunite for ‘X Factor Auditions’ [PHOTOS]

Though negotiations reportedly went down to the wire, Simon Cowell and Paula Abdul stepped out in full force Sunday for the first round of 'X Factor' auditions in Los Angeles.

"This show would never have been the same without Paula and I can't believe I am saying this - I have missed her a lot, and I am thrilled she's on the show," Cowell said in a statement, confirming a deal with his former 'American Idol' cohort had been reached.

"I'm also delighted and grateful to be sitting next to Simon again ... but you might want to check back with me in a week or two," Abdul quipped, referring to the humorous but sometimes contentious relationship they had on 'Idol.'
