This might be the strangest news of the day. HBO has signed a deal with Sesame Street to air new episodes for nine months and then after that they will be available to show on PBS the home for the past 45 years. Also, the deal includes pretty much doubling the episode load from 18 per season to 35 in the nine months.

This all starts late fall of 2015, and the whole reason why this is happening is so that Sesame Street can actually get the critical funding it needs to have great production and help kids continue to get smarter and kinder. This is a great idea. A lot of people are already excited due to the fact HBO doesn't really have programming for kids and this will not only be available on the television but also on their streaming service.
