Nate Dogg a West-Coast hip-hop and R&B legend has unexpectedly passed away at 41 years old. There has been no word of the exact cause but some speculate that a previous stroke in '08 may have caused related complications.  The family has put out a statement that Nate Dogg was healthy, not in bad shape and fully alert in his final days.  The family put out a statement saying, "We know that Nate will be hanging out with his good friends 2Pac and Biggie."

Nate Dogg, hands down one of my favorite rappers, had a great music career and represented his West Coast style.  He was first heard on a demo by Dr. Dre which turned into him appearing on The Chronic and signing with Death Row Records.   I believe that Nate Dogg had one of the most unique styles and sounds in all of hip-hop.  To me there is no other Nate Dogg and will never be.  I am sad that he has lost his life at such a young age and just hope his legacy will continue through out hip-hop.

Former friends and others in the industry have spoke out and sent their regards. Here is what some have had to say;

Snoop Dogg, "WE lost a true legend in hip-hop and R&B."

Ludacris, " THere is a certain void in hip-hop's heart that can never be filled. RIP Nate Dogg. You will be missed."

Dave Chappelle, "Monents of silence for hip-hop legend. RIP Nate Dogg.  G Funk Era forever."

Reggie Bush, "RIP Nate Dogg!!! Rest in Beats!"
