When you use the private setting on Facebook you would figure that it would be private right? Well this is not the case.  In a recent study by researchers at Columbia University 93 % of Facebook users that have used private settings are actually still sharing what they thought was private. We all know that we have pictures, stories and fun times that we want to share but what about those things a little more personal that not every one needs to see.  According to this survey almost none of us have any idea what is and what isn't being made public.

The survey shows that 93% of us are publicly sharing something they thought was private and 84.6% of us are hiding something they wanted to share.  Every single person in the survey fell into one or both catergories which means zero percent completely understood what was being shared and or hiding on their Facebook.

So what does that lead us to...trust everything on Facebook right:) Or even better idea don't put something you should think be private on your Facebook!
