Between the worldwide success of 'Happy' to his infamous hat, hardly a week goes by when you don't hear about Pharrell Williams -- or anything associated with him and his music. So Oprah wanted to get to know the man behind all of the hit singles during an in-depth interview on 'Oprah Prime.'

Premiering on Sunday (April 13), Oprah sat down with the singer, songwriter and producer to talk about his latest album, 'G I R L,' his recent nuptials with Helen Lasichanh and how music shaped his life. With so much to talk about and only an hour to do it, O dove right in and Pharrell was ready.

While the interview really showed what goes through Pharrell's mind, things turned real sweet when the topic turned toward the overwhelming success of 'Happy.' Oprah pulled up a mash-up of all of the fan-made videos made by people throughout the globe, which resulted in Pharrell tearing up.

"Why am I crying on Oprah?" he said between tears.

But after composing himself, he did talk about how grateful he is to his music teachers, grandmother and just everyone who's really pushed for him to pursue music. "It’s overwhelming because I love what I do and people have believed in me for so long that I can make it to this point, to feel that,” he said.

He also delved into the obstacles he experienced while trying to start a solo career and be the guy in the limelight. “I had accepted that I was gonna be a writer and a producer, and I was happy to be the guy standing next to the guy,” the Virginia native shared.
