Nike Releases Kanye West’s Air Yeezy 2 ‘Red October’ Without Warning
In a surprise move that will make Beyonce proud, Nike released Kanye West’s Air Yeezy 2 ‘Red October’ on Sunday (Feb. 9) without any warning or fanfare. The rapper-producer’s all-red silhouette is his most sought-after and highly elusive shoe in recent memory.

Priced at $245, the sneakers sold out in 10 minutes. If you copped yourself a pair consider yourself lucky.
Last December, fans went bonkers when it was announced that the Red Octobers were dropping on Dec. 27. A few days later, Nike put the kibosh on the release, disappointing thousands of sneakerheads. This shoe also sparked Yeezy’s angry rants about Nike, which prompted him to leave and sign with competitor Adidas.
Of course, not everyone was able to get the Air Yeezy 2 sneaker. A few hundred fans went on Twitter to express their anger over Nike’s stealthy move with releasing the kicks online.
Check out some of their angry tweets below.
