New Music Releases: Rock Music

Rock music?  Yes, rock music is indeed a form of music and there is a bunch out today from classic artists..  Alice Cooper, Staind, Bush, Dream Theater, Primus, Jimi Hendrix and more.

Alice Cooper - Welcome 2 My Nightmare“Welcome 2 My Nightmare”, Alice Cooper – The sequel to his 1975 classic “Welcome to My Nightmare”.  His guests include country singer Vince Gill, Rob Zombie, John 5 and Ke$ha, who sings on “What Baby Wants”.

“The Sea of Memories”, Bush – This is their fifth album . . . and their first in 10 years.  Singer Gavin Rossdale and drummer Robin Goodridge are back from the ’90s lineup, but guitarist Nigel Pulsford and bassist Dave Parsons have been replaced by Chris Traynor and Corey Britz, respectively.

“Staind”, Staind – This is their seventh album.

Panic of Girls”, Blondie – This is their ninth album, and their first in eight years.

Dream Theater - A Dramatic Turn of Events“A Dramatic Turn of Events”, Dream Theater – This is their first album with drummer Mike Mangini, following the departure of original drummer Mike Portnoy, who split with the band last September.

“Worship Music”, Anthrax – Their first album of new music since 2003’s “We’ve Come for You All” . . . and the first album to feature singer Joey Belladonna since 1990’s “Persistence of Time”.

“Green Naugahyde”, Primus – This is Primus’ first album since 1999’s “Antipop” . . . and their first release since the 2003 EP “Animals Should Not Try to Act Like People”.

“Winterland”, Jimi Hendrix – A posthumous four disc box set, featuring the 1968 performances by the Jimi Hendrix Experience at San Francisco’s The Human League - Credo Winterland Ballroom.

“Credo”, The Human League – Their ninth album . . . and their first in 10 years.

“Father, Son, Holy Ghost”, the indie rock band Girls – Check em out here.
