New Music Out Today – Chris Brown, Jennifer Hudson, Green Day and More

All sorts of goodness out this week.  You should be able to find something new that you like no matter what your musical tastes.

Fame“F.A.M.E.”, Chris Brown (–Initially, Chris said F.A.M.E. stood for “Forgiving All My Enemies” . . . then he changed it to:  “Fans Are My Everything” . . . and THEN he said that both acronyms would work for the album’s themes.  His guests include:  Ludacris and Justin Bieber, plus Lil Wayne and Busta Rhymes who both appear on his single, “Look at Me Now”.)

“I Remember Me”, Jennifer Hudson –  It includes the single “Where You At”.)

“Angles”, The Strokes – Their first album in five years.

–“All You Need Is Now”, Duran Duran
– This is their 13th album.  R&B minx Kelis is featured on the song “The Man Who Stole a Leopard”, and Ana Matronic from Scissor Sisters is on the track “Safe (In The Heat of The Moment)”

“Vices & Virtues”, Panic! At The Disco – This is their first album since the band split in half . . . with guitarist Ryan Ross and bassist Jon Walker leaving to form The Young Veins.  The disc includes the single “The Ballad of Mona Lisa”.

-“When You’re Through Thinking, Say Yes”, Yellowcard

“Live On I-5″, Soundgarden – This is their first live album.  It was recorded during the West Coast leg of their 1996 tour.  They’re working on a new studio album now.

“Glam Nation Live”, Adam Lambert – This is his first live album.  Some versions include a bonus DVD.

“Vices and Virtues”, Art of Dying – This is a Canadian rock band.  And yes, that’s the same title as the Panic! At the Disco album.  Coincidence . . . or conspiracy?!)

“Awesome As (Eff)”, Green Day – These tracks were recorded during their 21st Century Breakdown World Tour.  There’s also a DVD or Blu-Ray with footage of a concert filmed in Japan.

“Hello Fear”, Kirk Franklin – It includes the single “I Smile”.

“Dust Bowl”, blues rock singer Joe Bonamassa

The “Sucker Punch” soundtrack. –  It includes a song by Alison Mosshart of The Kills and The Dead WeatherBjork also did a special remix of “Army of Me” for the movie, and actress Emily Browning, performs “Sweet Dreams” by The Eurythmics and “Asleep” by The Smiths.

“W.A.R. (We Are Renegades)”, Pharoahe Monch

“The Return of Mr. Zone 6″, Gucci Mane – His guests include Master P, 8Ball, Birdman, and Waka Flocka.)

“Fly on the Wall”, Bobby V

“Greatest Hits with a Twist”, DMX
