For me, it’s gotta be an early afternoon float on the Madison followed by a barbeque (at a neighbor’s house) that lasts into the night for a good bang (fireworks people, have some respect for our Independence Day).

It looks like I’ll once again be able to check off those few simple requests this year. It doesn’t take much to keep me really happy on the 4th. A good chill with family and friends while enjoying food, beer and fireworks!

What a lead-up to the celebration this year in Bozeman too. The infamous Dirty Dozen Brass Band is live at the Emerson this Wednesday, June 29th (tickets still available at Cactus Records or at the Emerson Cultural Center for $15). And then of course, the first Music On Main of the season is Thursday, June 30th with the Clintons! Oh boy, let’s just call this what it is this year….a week-long Independence Day celebration! I am pumped, jacked, stoked and juiced for it! (that’s excitement right there)
