The officer was totally cool with it and I am sure thought we were crazy.

Pokemon Go is a sensation that is sweeping the globe, and I am totally caught up in it. I love it, and I have quite a few friends that play as well. So this past Saturday (yes, Saturday) I was out with my good friends, Tim and Heather, and we went all over Bozeman playing Pokemon Go. We were having a great time, catching Pokemon on the MSU campus or hatching eggs. That last part is very important because that is mostly why we got in trouble.

Hatching eggs is a big part of the game. You have to go a certain distance (2 kilometers, 5 kilometers, or 10 kilometers) to hatch the egg. You either have to walk, run or bike to get the distance because cars just go to fast. We figured out, though, you can go 15 miles per hour in a car and you can hatch your eggs. So we found a big church parking lot that had to Pokestops (places where you can get items) and drove around in big circles for about 30 minutes starting at 11:30 p.m.

Well, apparently someone thought we were up to no good because the minute we left the parking lot to go somewhere else there was a cop car behind us that flipped its lights on and pulled us over. The officer was really cool and asked us what we were doing in the church parking lot. We showed him we were playing Pokemon Go and he just chuckled a little bit. Then he checked out our driver's info and told us to have a good night.

I just want to thank the Bozeman Police Department for being cool and understanding we are a bunch of nostalgic adults who are simply playing a video game on our phones and not committing any crimes. So all you Pokemon masters out there make sure you stay safe and don't drive in a church parking lot at 11:30 p.m.
