MSU Gold Rush Game: What You Need to Know

The Cats open the 2018 season on Thursday, August 30, with the annual Gold Rush game against Missouri Valley Football Conference entry Western Illinois, a squad that finished last season ranked 13 in the FCS. The Leathernecks advanced to the Playoffs two of the last three seasons.

Gold Rush is Bobcat tradition that kicks off the new season of Bobcat Football. On the first home game, fans fill the stadium in a sea of gold wearing a custom t-shirt design proclaiming their Bobcat pride.
