If you’re driving to Bobcat Stadium on game day, you’ll notice some traffic changes.

Changes start this Thursday, Sept. 3, just in time for the first home game of the season against Fort Lewis College at 7:05 p.m.

Traffic will flow normally prior to and during the game on all streets except Kagy Boulevard between 7th and 11th, which will be closed as in previous seasons. A detour flowing along 7th, 11th and Grant Street will be in effect for the Kagy closure, according to the information posted on the Cats’ official website.

A couple of the highlights from the plan include:

* There will be no-one way traffic flow on Kagy. Kagy will remain open to two-way traffic between 11th and 19th avenues for the duration of the game and during the post-game traffic plan.

* Kagy will remain closed between 7th and 11th avenues; the detour around Grant Street will remain in effect during the post-game traffic plan.

The changes are due to the opening of the Stadium View apartment complex immediately west of the stadium. This will allow emergency vehicles and apartment residents easy access to the Stadium View apartments before, during and after all home games, according to MSU.
