Miley Cyrus stopped by The Tonight Show Friday night (September 16) where she performed a sultry surprise cover of Bob Dylan's "Baby, I'm in the Mood For You," as well as threw a sprinkling of shade in the direction of Donald Trump, who was Jimmy Fallon's guest the night prior.

Inspired by singer Odette's 1965 rendition of the track and backed by The Roots, the pop star put her own colorful, country spin on the twangy tune, shimmying along in retro red tights and a matching cartoon-embroidered sweetheart dress.

The Voice coach also took her performance on the show as an opportunity to subtly address GOP nominee Trump's much talked-about appearance on the show Thursday, in which Fallon playfully ruffled the hotel tycoon's infamous hair and was later accused of letting the candidate's controversial statements and policies slide.

"Alright everybody, how we all doin' tonight? Here at Jimmy Fallon, everybody in the audience, everybody at home, I can't forget about you. I wanna say thanks to you," the singer told the live audience in the middle of her song, before going in on Fallon's playful behavior towards Trump.

"There is nowhere I would rather be than in New York City playing this song with the Roots, and being on Jimmy Fallon with our host, who is always so much fun—except when you're Donald Trump," Miley chided, adding, "And then don't even think about messing with my hair, I'm serious."
