‘Hannibal’ Star Mads Mikkelsen Is an Acquired Taste – The Daily Swoon
Forgive our ghoulish pun, but Mads Mikkelsen of NBC’s ‘Hannibal‘ is quite the acquired taste … if you know what we mean.
If you aren’t watching NBC’s ‘Hannibal,’ you are seriously missing out. It’s not your typical procedural crime show — it’s a thriller based on the novels by Thomas Harris, who wrote ‘Silence of the Lambs’ and ‘Red Dragon,’ and follows special agent Will Graham (Hugh Dancy) as he teams up with a psychiatrist named Hannibal Lecter to solve serial murders.
We’ve already swooned over Hugh Dancy before, so it’s time we turn our attention to the show’s other notable star — Mads Mikkelsen, who plays the sinister and sophisticated Hannibal Lecter.
Those familiar with the Hannibal Lecter stories and movies know that he eventually becomes Will’s most formidable opponent and he’s a super dangerous guy. But for now, he’s just kinda dangerous and makes some of the tastiest-looking food ever seen on television — so what if it kinda sorta might most definitely be a human person’s liver?
Mikkelsen is a Danish actor who’s been around for a long time, acting in foreign movies you’ve probably never seen or heard of, but more recently he starred in ‘Casino Royale’ and ‘The Three Musketeers.’
