Remember how Lance Armstrong offered his really non-contrite confession about doping, bullying and cheating to Oprah?

Turns out, he didn't confess everything -- and he may have outright lied quite a bit. To Oprah. That's nut(s).

Investigators say Armstrong is BSing about when he stopped doping. In his interview with the Big O, he told the hostess with the mostess, "That's the only thing in this whole report that upset me. The accusation and alleged proof that they said I doped [in 2009] is not true. The last time I crossed the line, that line was 2005."

Winfrey implored, "You did not do a blood transfusion in 2009?"

Armstrong replied firmly, "No, 2009 and 2010, absolutely not."

ABC News reports that this is pretty much total crap, because Armstrong's 2009 blood tests showed evidence of at least two blood transfusions: The cyclist's mature red blood cell count went up, but his baby red blood cell count didn't.

This is a strategic move on Armstrong's part to attempt to avoid prosecution. If the last time Armstrong admitted to doping was 2005, the statute of limitations may protect him. However, if he did dope in 2009, he could still face legal repercussions.

He may be a liar, a cheat and a smug jerk, but he's a savvy one.
