Lady Gaga had two notable moments at the MTV Video Music Awards: Her close-up cold open of the show and her surprise mention of Bay Area rapper Too $hort as a guest on her upcoming LP, 'ARTPOP.' That later piece of information is very real, and Lady Gaga gave a preview of the song over the weekend.

The songstress previewed the song, 'Jewels and Drugs,' during her appearance at the iTunes Festival in London Sunday (Sept. 1). Too $hort and Twista came through to perform their verses for the song. T.I., who's also featured on the track, was absent in the performance because he was denied entry into the country.

The pop songstress shouted out the Atlanta rapper before she played his verse. "They wouldn’t let him into the country, poor thing," the 'Born This Way' creator yelled. "Put your hands up, Hustle Gang.”

What made the Too $hort collaboration so surprising is how disparate their respective genres are. 'Jewels and Drugs' features Lady Gaga making more of the bend though. She sings across the trap rap-flavored DJ White Shadow-produced beat, while Too $hort makes himself at home on it. Twista's triple-time flow is here and intact as well.

Gaga also debuted other tracks from 'ARTPOP,' including the title song, 'I Wanna Be With You,' 'Sex Dreams,' 'Manicure' and 'Aura.'

'ARTPOP' is due Nov. 11.
