Kylie Jenner's the latest Kardashian-Jenner to land her very own Complex cover story, accompanied by the sexy, clothing-light photo spread the magazine tends to favors for its female cover subjects (the shots of Kylie are also illustrated by Japanese artist Takashi Murakami). In it, the Kylie Cosmetics mogul discusses her decision to get lip filler injections at age 16, her relationship with Tyga, and the surreal experience of growing up on camera.

And mega-fame, evidently, is an experience that never stops being weird. In describing the way it feels different to say her sister Kim's name out loud now that's she's become THE Kim Kardashian, Kylie trips out on the fact that the same can be said about her. "Now, I feel like that when I say my name. Kylie Jenner. F---! Everyone knows my name too."

Regarding her signature enhanced lips, a process that Kylie initially denied, she also offered her motivation for doing it at such an early age: Some seventh grade boy's thoughtless comment.

"It has been an insecurity of mine all my life,” Kylie says of her original mouth. She explained that in middle school, "This guy I kissed was like, 'Your lips are really small but you’re a really good kisser. I didn’t think you were gonna be good at kissing. It was so rude. From then on, I just felt like I saw guys staring at my lips. I felt like no one wanted to kiss me."

She says her early denial about the procedure was a futile effort to curb judgment from fans and critics alike: "I didn’t want to be a bad influence. I didn’t want people to think you had to get your lips done to feel good about yourself. But they thought it was crazier that I was lying about it because it was so obvious. I wish I had just been honest and upfront."

Though Kylie admits she went "too far" with plumping them up at one point, she takes a lighter approach these days — and nothing is permanent.

Tyga, or "T" as Kylie calls him, also makes an appearance in the profile, and while she confirms they took a month-long break back in May ("I just needed to see what it was like not being with him"), the two are very much on despite the flak they've received.

"The first year we started hanging out, everyone around him told him not to be with me. I still get comments like, 'Don’t be with him'," Jenner told Complex. "But we’re not doing it for the public—we love each other. We need to be together at all times. We never get mad at each other, we just figure things out."

And when it comes to Tyga's ex/Kylie's (as of press time) future sister-in-law Blac Chyna?

"I never fought with her over social media in the beginning, but I understand where she was coming from and what place she was in," says Jenner. "We’re totally fine. It’s all love."
