‘Krampus’ is a Comedy-Horror Filled Enjoyment

Why hasn't this been made into a movie sooner?

Krampus is a tale of a boy who loses his Christmas spirit and when he does that, bad things happen. If you don't know who/what Krampus is then here is a little backstory.  According to German folklore, Krampus is the shadow of Santa Claus, whereas St. Nick gives presents to good kids, Krampus punishes and kidnaps the bad kids. Pretty messed up, right? I love it. Elf on the Shelf is lame; I want my kids to know about Krampus ASAP.

The movie is great and there are great scares and comedy parts. The best part of the whole movie though is that about 90% of the creatures are practical effects. That gives the element of how frightening these creatures are, another notch of scary. If you are looking for something different, Krampus is for you.
