When June rolls around, there are two things to look forward to: the warm weather and Hot 97's Summer Jam. Hip-hop heads and R&B lovers travel from near and far to MetLife Stadium in New Jersey to experience some of the biggest rappers and singers take the stage. Kendrick Lamar, Big Sean, Chris Brown, Fabolous and Meek Mill, among others, all delivered memorable performances that featured a few surprises.

Things started off with a bang on the festival stage as artists like Travi$ Scott and Fetty Wap led the way. Fetty ran through his collection of summer bangers including "Trap Queen," "My Way" & "679." Travi$ Scott -- who has a penchant for delivering epic performances -- once again lit the stage on fire and debuted his new record "3500."

After the festival stage, fans were treated to surprise appearances from some marquee players in the rap game. Chris Brown performed hits like "Loyal" and brought out French Montana, 50 Cent, Lloyd Banks and Tony Yayo, with the latter moving into G-Unit tracks like "Many Men." Fabolous called on the likes of New York's very own the Lox, Ma$e, Remy Ma and Fat Joe. Meek had a couple of tricks up his sleeve as well as he brought out Nicki Minaj and Future. Kendrick Lamar surprised the crowd when showed up with Welven Da Great -- the Instagram star behind "Deez Nuts" -- and the beautiful SZA. But that wasn't all. Omarion delivered his all-about-the-groceries ode "Post To Be," Trey Songz demonstrated his sensual ways with the ladies onstage and more also grabbed the attention of concertgoers with their live songs and slick moves.

Despite the chaos involving the New Jersey State Police and several fans in attendance outside, the show went on and turned out to be one of the better showcases in years.
