July 4th Events in Bozeman
Don't miss out on anything that is happening this 4th of July. There will burgers to grill, watermelons to seed and fireworks to see and it's all here in our list of everything going on in or around Bozeman.
Festivities begin at the Fairgrounds at 9am with food being served all day. There will be a free live concert at the Fairgrounds from the Bozeman Symphany at 9pm just before the Firework show. Last year I watched the firework show itself from Peets hill which granted a great vantage point of the show as well as all of the amateur pyros around Bozeman. I would recommend taking a blanket, some snacks and beverages to make it a perfect experience. Chairs too if you aren't able to get to the hill early enough to snag a bench.
There are talks of floating on the Madison to be banned so get out there and experience it while you can before the worst happens. If you have never been, here is the best explanation of how to get there and back safely. Drive down Huffiene Lane until you get to Four Corners. Keep going straight and the road will become Norris Road. Go just over 16 miles and you will see a turn to the right with a dirt parking lot most likely full of cars. This is where you will leave one car. Then take the tubes up to the drop-in area. To get there go back on Norris Road and drive West just about 6 miles and the turn will be to your left into another dirt parking lot. Load in, lock your car and have a fun safe float on the river!
Livingston has a great three day festival each year centering around the 4th of July. From 3pm - 5pm on July 2nd the town gathers on Main Street for the annual Parade. Also beginning on the 2nd is The Livingston Roundup Rodeo. Professionals and amateurs from around the country gather and compete for the big bucks. The rodeo goes all three days, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th.
