Jimmy Kimmel might be setting himself up for his very own installment of "Mean Tweets" later this year — he'll be front and center on TV's biggest night as the 2016 Emmy Awards host.

The Jimmy Kimmel Live! front man, who previously hosted the broadcast in 2012, will take the reins once more in September, according to The Hollywood ReporterHumbly, Kimmel noted in a statement provided to the site that he's ready to get his hands dirty.

"I am excited to be hosting the Emmys again," he said. "I have a feeling I’m going to be great."

And, after sharing the news on Twitter, Kimmel got some immediate support from fellow comedian Ricky Gervais, who's hosted the Golden Globes a handful of times — most recently this year.

On a more serious note, ABC Entertainment president Channing Dungey said in a statement that he's sure Kimmel will do the job justice.

"Jimmy Kimmel is the consummate showman," he said. "With Kimmel at the helm, expect to be at the edge of your seat for a bigger, bolder, and better-than-ever Emmy event."

The 68th Emmy Awards will air from Los Angeles on Sunday, September 18 at 8 PM EST on ABC. Nominations will be announced on July 14.
