So this past weekend I had enough free time to go enjoy two of the biggest movies of the year: Big Hero 6 and Interstellar.

First, I went and saw Interstellar and I was very excited going into this movie.  I mean it's a Christopher Nolan movie who has directed amazing films such as Inception, The Prestige, Memento and the Dark Knight Trilogy.  So this movie was hyped as being the movie event of the year kind of how Gravity was last year.  I was impressed by the story and visuals and had an absolute blast watching it. The only problem I had was that I showed up five minutes before it was supposed to start and the only seats that were available were the front row....so that was a little depressing.

My recommendation is that you go see this movie.  It brings up some very interesting questions and the performances are awesome.  The big thing is that the movie is almost 3 hours long.  So definitely go to a early show in case you have plans later on in the day.

Yesterday I decided to go see Big Hero 6.  Not only cause had the time but I have actually been looking forward to this movie for months.  Disney's first foray into Marvel comics for animation is a smash hit. I actually liked this film better than Interstellar.  Not because it was shorter but you actually want the main characters Hiro and Baymax to succeed and you understand their relationship.

The biggest thing for me was that catapulted Big Hero 6 in front was their short film in front of the movie entitled "Feast".  It's about a Boston Terrier and his owner plus all the food he eats but the story gets very emotional and I felt very connected to the story.
