If You Had $7,000, Would You Offer It To A Stranger?

A man posted his story on Reddit saying his teeth were in such bad shape that it's painful. He even went as far as saying he can barely live with the pain. This father of two doesn't have dental insurance and is facing at least $7,000 worth of work. Then a perfect stranger stepped up with an offer...

Part of the post reads: Not all days, byt most my teeth hurt and I have no way to stop the pain. I live in the USA and cannot afford insurance to get it fixed. The dental place told me it would cost over $7,000.

My life has been going well for the most part lately and I feel horrible for even thinking of wanting to die to escape the pain. I have 2 kids that need me and a family that loves me, but love doesn't buy new teeth.

This post sparked the attention of a man who (if the post was true) was willing to fly the father to Costa Rica for a procedure that was more cost-effective.

Following that offer, a dentist in Florida offered his services if the father could fly down and then another Reddit user offered his reward points to get the father a hotel while away.
