Governor Bullock has issued an Emergency Proclamation for the State of Montana in response to the wide spread flooding in recent days. This is a good step for those Gallatin County residents recently affected by flooding. While this action by the Governor does not automatically make assistance available, it is a very critical step towards those programs that may be available.

At this point it is critical that those residents who have been affected by flooding complete a damage assessment form for Gallatin County Emergency Management. The basic information gathered in a damage assessment is how we demonstrate to the State of Montana, and the United States Government, what impacts we have seen from the recent flooding.  This gathered information is key in helping officials determine what programs may be available to assist those who have been adversely affected.  The online damage assessment can be located at ReadyGallatin.com on the main page or directly at https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/gcem.
