Now that we are in the homestretch (at least when it comes to Christmas gifts), it's getting tougher and tougher to get those last-minute presents that are a good fit for the recipient. Instead of stressing (or getting a pack of gum from the gas station), consider giving a gift that gives back. Here are some ideas:

  1. Tom's (from Target): All of the Tom's line is under $50. For every shoe purchased, Tom's, the company, will give a pair of shoes to someone in need. In addition to the shoes, any Tom's clothing will enable the company to donate to non profits like the Red Cross and Feeding America.
  2. Zady.com: Started in 2013, this website sells items created via ethical and sustainable practices created by artisans in the USA. They have partnered with The Bootstrap Project to support artisans in the developing world.
  3. Sevenly.org: Working with a new charity each week, the site creates "cause art" which is t-shirts and other goods that donate a proceed to the current charity. $7 to be exact - for the span of 7 days. On top of that, the company has created a Cause Box which is a subscription box service containing socially-conscious goods delievered to your doorstep on a quarterly basis.

Those are just a few examples. What would you add to the list?
