George Michael Injured in Car Crash
George Michael sustained minor injuries in a car accident last night (May 16). Insert your own “Wham!” pun here.
A rep for the ‘Freedom’ singer told Sky News, “George Michael was a passenger in a vehicle involved in a traffic accident on Thursday evening, no third party was involved. He is being treated for superficial cuts and bruises but is fine. We have no further comment at this time.”
While Michael was relatively unscathed, another party in the accident required an airlift to a London hospital.
Ambulance spokesman Gary Sanderson revealed, “A man who we believe to be in his 40s sustained a head injury and following treatment, stabilization and immobilization by land and air ambulance crews, he was flown to hospital for further care.”
Michael was a passenger for a reason: He was banned from driving for five years in 2010 following a marijuana-induced accident in a Range Rover.
We’ve got faith that everyone involved will have a speedy recovery.
