In case you needed a few more reasons to love both fallen Queen frontman Freddie Mercury and the late, lovely Princess Diana, know this: Mercury once got her to dress in drag so they could go to a gay bar together.

Comedian Cleo Rocos chronicled a bizarre night out with Mercury, the Princess of Wales and a fellow comedian, the late Kenny Everett.

"Scrutinizing her in the half light we decided that the most famous icon of the modern world might just -- just -- pass for a rather eccentrically dressed gay male model," Rocos wrote (quotes via Digital Spy).

They decked Diana out in an army jacket, aviators and a leather cap, then made their way to the bar -- but they weren't terribly convinced that the Queen of Hearts could pull off pretending to be a dude.

"When we walked in ... we felt she was obviously Princess Diana and would be discovered at any minute," Rocos revealed. "But people just seemed to blank her. She sort of disappeared. But she loved it."

Rocos insists, "Absolutely no one recognized Diana."

Lady Di still drank like a lady once she got there, ordering a white wine ... and a beer, because, you know, she was supposed to be a man that day.

"Never has going to a bar been quite so exhilarating and fun. We then made a swift exit, a cab was hailed and we whisked Diana back to Kensington Palace. The jolly queens queuing outside [the bar] unknowingly waved back as their 'queen of hearts' waved goodbye. Not a single person ever found us out."

Sounds like a true Killer Queen to us.
