Lots of snow early in the week, warmer temperatures and RAIN in the last day has dramatically increased the chance of low lying areas becoming flooded today. If you encounter flooding on roadways or creeks, please report it to law enforcement.

  • SOUTHERN LEWIS AND CLARK COUNTY IN WEST CENTRAL MONTANA
  • BROADWATER COUNTY IN SOUTHWESTERN MONTANA
  • MEAGHER COUNTY IN CENTRAL MONTANA
  • SOUTHWESTERN JUDITH BASIN COUNTY IN CENTRAL MONTANA
  • MADISON COUNTY IN SOUTHWESTERN MONTANA
  • SOUTHEASTERN BEAVERHEAD COUNTY IN SOUTHWESTERN MONTANA
  • JEFFERSON COUNTY IN SOUTHWESTERN MONTANA
  • GALLATIN COUNTY IN SOUTH CENTRAL MONTANA.

UNTIL NOON MST FRIDAY (Could be extended)

  • MINOR FLOODING IS POSSIBLE IN POOR DRAINAGE AREAS.
  • SOME ROADWAYS COULD BE IMPACTED.
  • TRAVELERS ARE ADVISED TO USE CAUTION AND BE ALERT FOR SIGNIFICANT POOLING OF WATER ON ROADWAYS CAUSING HAZARDOUS TRAVEL CONDITIONS.

SOME LOCATIONS THAT WILL EXPERIENCE FLOODING INCLUDE: BOZEMAN, HELENA, TOWNSEND, WEST YELLOWSTONE, BOULDER, WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS, SHERIDAN, VIRGINIA CITY, HENRYS LAKE, LINCOLN, BELGRADE, EAST HELENA, THREE FORKS, MANHATTAN, WHITEHALL, ENNIS, TWIN BRIDGES, PONY, MONTANA CITY AND ALDER.

  • EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM RAINFALL WILL CAUSE FLOODING OF SMALL CREEKS AND STREAMS, COUNTRY ROADS, FARMLAND, AND OTHER LOW LYING SPOTS.
  • PLEASE REPORT FLOODING TO YOUR LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCY WHEN YOU CAN DO SO SAFELY.
  • A FLOOD ADVISORY MEANS PONDING OF WATER IN URBAN OR OTHER AREAS IS OCCURRING OR IS IMMINENT.
