Meeting Time and Place: 10:00 a.m., Sola Cafe at the southeast corner of Kagy and South 3rd, Bozeman
This is an old logging trail in the Hyalite Mountains located .4 miles from the Hyalite Creek Grotto Falls parking lot. We will plan to carpool from the Sola Cafe parking lot, drive past the reservoir and park in a small pullout near Hyalite Creek. We will cross the wooden bridge and start snowshoeing on the other side of the creek following the gentle switchbacks of the logging trail climbing higher and higher. There will be grand views of adjacent snow covered mountains in all directions and a view of Hyalite Creek Valley all the way back to Hyalite Peak. We will plan to stop for snacks or a quick lunch before returning.
