The Power of We, an interfaith group of Pilgrim Congregational, Temple Beth Shaolm, and the Unitarian Fellowship, is sponsoring an educational forum series on Violence in Our Culture: As American as Apple Pie? Forums will be held Thursdays, Sept. 26, and Oct. 10,17,24, and 31 at 7 pm in the Community Room of the public library.

The schedule is History of Violence in America, and Stand Your Ground Laws, Sept 26; Domestic Abuse, Oct. 10; Violence in Bozeman and the Castle law, Oct. 17; Mental Health Issues in Violence and The Role of Media, Oct. 24; and Non-violent Communication and Building Community, Oct. 31.

Speakers will include Professors Billy Smith and Steven Swinford, MSU; Rabbi Ed Stafman, Chief of Police, Ron Price; Scott Malloy, Director of Gallatin Mental Health Clinic; representatives from Haven and the Voice Center; Carson Taylor, City Commissioner, and Dierdre Combs, author.
