Additional Information

Featuring the dyadic cyclone that is Erin Ezekiel (vocals/keys), and Paul Ezekiel (drums/percussion), Erin & The Project creates a hypnotic sound. A blend of soul, blues, jazz, r&b, and rock genres forming a category referred to as “soul-ternative”.

After great success with the release of their debut, self-titled album, they caught the attention of Grammy award winning engineer/mixer, Oz Fritz (Tom Waits, Bill Laswell, Primus, etc.), who produced and recorded their album, "Birthday", which was officially released in February 2012.

Over the past three years, this couple has performed around the US at a multitude of world class clubs, restaurants, wineries, hotels, and private events with positive audience response leading to consistent growth in exposure as well as their own music and performance development.

Erin has an extensive background in theater, dance, and music. She later spent 3 years studying North Indian classical vocals with the great Maestro Ali Akbar Khan. She has studied piano briefly with legendary Oakland jazz professor, Bill Bell, and sang soprano for 2 years with the Oakland Bay Area Community Chorus. She has also performed onstage with Blues Hall of Fame inductee and frontman of Jefferson Starship, Mickey Thomas.

Paul is a long time student of master drum instructor, Chuck Brown, has been performing in bands for the past 15 years, and has managed and owned recording studios both in Oregon and California.

Together they have played alongside Jeff Tamelier (guitar: Tower of Power, Journey, Jefferson Starship, etc.), Bobby Vega (bass: Sly And The Family Stone, Tower of Power, etc.), Matthew Charles Heulitt (guitar: MoeTar, Narada Michael Walden, Zigaboo Modeliste, etc.), Jon Herrera (bass: Zigaboo Modeliste, Kai Eckhardt, etc.), Jason Langley (bass: Elvin Bishop, etc.), Jonnie Axtell (Psychofunkapus, etc.), and many more extremely talented musicians.

Be sure to catch them next time they are in your town!
