It’s almost ready, animals! Dr. Luke revealed that Kesha is “really close” to finishing her second album — and that it’s going to be a pretty big departure from her debut.

The uber-producer chatted with Billboard about the differences between the ‘Tik Tok’ singer’s first releases, her platinum album ‘Animal’ and gold EP ‘Cannibal,’ and her as-yet-untitled followup.

Two big changes we can expect? Less AutoTune, more guitars. ”You’re going to hear her voice more. She asked for less production tricks and stuff like that this time,” he explained. “There are more guitars on the record now, too; on (‘Animal’), Kesha was the one who told me, ‘Under no circumstance will I have any guitars on the record,’” he revealed. “That wasn’t really my call. So we made those (songs) without guitars. This record we’re allowed to use a little guitar.”

Indeed, Kesha said she wants minimal tricks on the record. “About 90 percent of the time, I don’t give a f—. But I give so many f—s about this album,” she told Rolling Stone. “Some people weren’t sure if I could sing. On this record, I said ‘Let’s leave the tricks to a minimum and let me wail.’”

The Doc confirmed that K-Dollar-Sign has 17 tracks in the bag so far and revealed some of their titles, including ‘Crazy Kids,’ ‘Supernatural’ (which he teased for fans) and ‘Last Goodbye.’

He also revealed that Iggy Pop, with whom Kesha was photographed in the studio, contributed to the song ‘Dirty Love,’ and that Kesha’s own momma, Pebe Sebert, co-wrote some songs as well. Cute! Other collaborators include Flaming Lips frontman Wayne Coyne, Black Keys drummer Patrick Carney, producer Max Martin and Fun. singer Nate Ruess.

Now for the most important questions, because we really can’t wait: Are they done yet, and what will it sound like? “We’re getting really close,” Dr. Luke said. “You’re going to hear an artist that’s grown and is evolving, but it’s Kesha. She’s no choir girl yet.”

As for what we should expect from the release? Luke’s answer was simple. “I think Kesha would answer that as ‘awesomeness.’”
