FOMO can't be cured by taking an antibiotic, exercising, testing herbs or losing weight. FOMO can only be cured with the mind. It's the Fear of Missing Out. Staying at home or just being a natural homebody isn't a bad thing. In fact, it's really good for you. A former FOMO sufferer discovered this very thing.

When reading through one woman's discovery of leaving behind the FOMO feeling and embracing the homebody lifestyle, I started to relate to her. I am not completely afraid of missing out but I want to be involved in things that will create memories (or be talked about the next day). It's no fun listening to other people talk about their awesome experiences while you sit there thinking of the TV show you watched that could have been saved for another time. At the same time, I would consider myself a homebody. I like being at home and I don't want to commit to doing just one thing.

However, going out and being involved in everything has little to do with actually wanting to go out and almost everything to do with the worry of what could happen. More times than not, it's just another night out.

So, for all those FOMO's out there: Read this woman's story and see if she pinpoints your personality.

Dear homebodies: The fact that you are comfortable being alone (or without friends), says you are someone who knows what you want. That's a good thing!
